Dr. Jeffrey Block

Dr. Jeffrey Block founded Block Chiropractic Sports & Wellness in Smithtown in 1993. His goal is to teach people that health comes from within, rather than from outside intervention. Staying healthy is the superior choice to seeking treatment once you’re sick. Therefore, we’re here to get you out of pain and help you prevent future problems from affecting your life. Dr. Jeffrey Block was originally a pre-med major at Stony Brook University. After being injured playing basketball and having to attend physical therapy, he saw his physical therapist’s friendly, healthy environment that he worked in and that he loved his job. That, combined with the immediate relief he saw from care, made him change his major and attend chiropractic college.

There are different types of chiropractors, just like not all medical doctors treat you the same. Dr. Block treats everyone like they’re an elite athlete that needs to operate at their greatest potential. We use hands-on health care, meaning that he uses his hands to help heal you. Him along with the other chiropractors use adjustments, soft tissue work, specialized tables, postural correction and other tools to help you. The physical therapists at the practice use hands-on manual methods, supervising your exercises and applying all modalities necessary to help you.
